At this present time, it is still the case that we keep those same principles at the heart of all what we do.

What are the costs of employing a member of staff?

Advise to interview a member of staff for an overseas position?

We place many of our candidates overseas and suggest the first interview by phone/Facetime or via Teams/Zoom. However, you are welcome to interview our candidates at our City of London or Bath office if it’s more convenient for you.

In addition, our consultants can provide some useful interview questions for you, so please request this once the first interviews have been set up.

Furthermore, you could also invite your potential candidate for a personal interview but travel and transportation costs should be discussed prior.

How do I pay tax and National Insurance for my member of staff?

As an employer, the client will be responsible for paying the candidate’s Tax and National Insurance.

In light of this, when speaking to your consultant, they can recommend an experienced Payroll Service who offer our clients preferential rates.

Which background checks do you carry out?

As part of our screening and application process, we always require the following documentation:

  • An up-to-date CV
  • Proof of ID (Passport)
  • or Driving Licence which we check for penalty points
  • A form of proof of address (current Utility Bill)
  • Verifiable written references which support the applicant’s experience
  • All Certificates (including Food Hygiene Certificates if the role involves food prep or cooking)
  • An up-to-date DBS (Previously known as CRB or Police Clearance)

Do you place staff outside of London or outside of the uk?

Are staff employed or self-employed?

In summary, if a candidate is working on a permanent basis, whether it’s full-time or part-time, as it’s a regular place of work, they will be employed by the client.

How long does the recruitment process take from start to finish?

Usually this depends on the client’s requirements and availability to interview potential candidates. As well as, the availability of the most suitable candidate will also feature. Our consultants can facilitate quick turnarounds so please notify your consultant of your expectations at the very beginning when you register.

Whilst some clients are keen to fill roles asap, other clients look three months in advance giving them more time for the selection process. Therefore, both time schemes work.

Please note, that our coveted candidates and roles do get snapped up quickly, so don’t take too long in making your decision! Lastly, keeping in close contact with your consultant will ensure you don’t miss out.
