What exactly does a Personal Assistant do?
A Personal Assistant, known as a PA must be highly organised, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Have strong communication skills, discretion, and the ability to anticipate the executive’s needs, are also critical in this role.
Administrative Support:
- Gatekeeper to the Principle
- Family diary management including social, professional, medical and beauty (including childrens’ hairdressing) appointments
- Email and phone correspondence
- Document drafting and proofing
- Manage expenses, book keeping and reporting
- Reconciliation of credit card bills
- Handle post correspondence
Meeting Coordination:
- Scheduling meetings
- Meeting preparation
- Minutes and follow-up
- Organise suitable catering
- Meet and great all clients and guests at the family home
Travel Arrangements:
- Book exclusive members clubs and restaurants
- Coordinate professional domestic and international travel plans
- Arrange travel bookings/holidays for the family
- Assist Principal on trips aboard
- Itinerary management
- Visa and documentation
Task Management:
- To-do lists
- Project assistance
- Research
Communication and Liaison:
- Point of contact, overseeing staffing and schedules
- Liaise and coordinate Principles diary with the Nannies and House Manager
- Handling extended contacts outside of the household
Personal Tasks
- Fulfil shopping requests and run errands
- Household Management: coordinating with household staff or managing home repairs
- Plan family events (birthdays, anniversaries, and religious celebrations)
- Recommend and purchase gifts
- Purchase/order/collect clothes and accessories
- Arrange any returns and refunds

- Sensitive information
- Trustworthy assistance
- Highly computer literate
